About the Event
The NAACP Butte County Branch 1029-B is hosting their 4th Black & White Gala & Awards, a dazzling black-tie event on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Oroville Southside Community Center. This year’s theme is Accelerating Change Despite the Odds.
Our Guest Speaker is none other than NAACP California and Hawaii State President, Rick Callander. Entertainment will be provided by the Louis Pettinella jazz ensemble and Garabaldi’s Catering from Chico will be serving up a delectable dinner. Awards will be presented for Excellence in Education, Community Grants & Scholarships, Youth Empowerment & Advocacy, and Community Social Justice & Advocacy. Doors open at 5:30 pm with a no-host bar, and the program, complete with a raffle and silent auction, will wrap up at 9 pm. $75 per person.
